HOW IT WORKS
Short stories, each with a decision that has no right answer. You choose and say what matters most to you. You hear from two people who disagree, and check what you’re missing. Then you choose again. It takes five screens. At the end you see how you thought it through, and take one idea with you for next time. The characters are made up to tell the stories. Where there are facts and figures, they’re real and their sources are listed.
NO SCORE · NOT A TEST · YOUR CALLWHY THIS EXISTS
A story is not the product. The reasoning that story gets you to practice is.
If you are between fifteen and twenty five today, you are going to make more decisions with an AI next to you than any generation before you. The danger is not that the machine thinks for you. It is losing track of what you base your decisions on, little by little, without noticing. Peristeo exists so that does not happen.
Thinking with judgment is not suspecting everything or changing your mind often. It is knowing what you are basing your decision on and being able to say it. It is separating what you know from what you have been told, and looking for the fact that would actually change your decision, not just more information. It is listening to someone who thinks differently without treating them as a rival, and deciding knowing what it costs, whether you keep your decision or change it. Nobody is born knowing how to do this. You practice it, and you practice it better with a real case than with theory.
We do not score what you choose. We help you see what you are basing it on, what information you are missing, and what could change your mind, and for that the facts we give you have to be true. What your friends or the majority think, we show you after you have already chosen, never before. And we only say what we have seen: a click proves a click. Peristeo does not tell you who you are, it tells you what you chose, and it does not reward you for changing your mind or for keeping it, both count the same if the reason is good.
We would like asking yourself what you are basing a decision on to be as normal as asking yourself what you think. For you to ask yourself what standard you are going to use before you ask a machine. And for you to be able to check how this was built, instead of having to take our word for it.
